In 1948, the brothers Jules and Robert Markus established a chewing gum factory in Amsterdam. Named Maple Leaf in homage to the Netherlands’ Canadian liberators, the factory’s most important product was bubblegum. Recently, the factory has been transformed into “The Gumball Factory”. It’s one of Amsterdam’ creative hotspots and home to Reggs.
