>> 12 11 2007 | Cradle to Cradle.
On thursday 01 november reggs attended the first Let's Cradle congress in Maastricht. Let's cradle was opened by Jacqueline Cramer, Minister of Environment, where she stated: 'cradle to cradle is the concept which can connect us all'. Two days full with thrilling speeches and presentations; one of the founding fathers of the C2C movement, Michael Braungart, the young designers of Artisjok, and the fascinating convincing cases of Shaw industries and Herman Miller.

Cradle to Cradle is a sustainable design process which uses the principles which nature already uses for million of years. Nature knows no waste, has a high level of local expertise and bio diversity. And the energy want of nature is 100% efficient.

The C2C design principles:
• Used materials need to be absolutely safe for people, plants and animals.
• Materials need to be reusable as a biological- or technical nutrient, without loss of quality.

• Products need to be designed for easy disassembly for quick recovery and reuse of components and materials.

reggs' designers and engineers work for more than a year with our own sustainable 360 view approach: creation – nature – society - technology. This 360 view is our start to incorporate the C2C principles in our company, design projects and most of all in our hearts and minds.
